The National Training Camp was held in Sorell, Tasmania from 22 to 24 March 2024.
Members came from Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
Under the supervision of Shihan Uchida, our members undertook intensive training in all aspects of Kei Shin Kan Karate, including the physical training, explanation and delving deeper into the understanding of the techniques and philosophy of karate-do.
The weekend kicked off on Friday evening with a physically demanding session of basics.
Training commenced at 6am each day. On Saturday morning it was on the beach.
Throughout the weekend we covered basics, combinations, movement, kata and sparring, both practice and explanation.
Our instructors demonstrated and explained the use of various weapons in the Kobudo session.
A grading and a sparring tournament were also held.
A great weekend for all to train together and get to know each other better.
