Our Lineage

Kei Shin Kan Karate is deeply rooted in traditional Japanese martial arts, passed down through Shihan Kisaku Uchida. Trained under Master Masanao Takazawa in Japan, Shihan Uchida has dedicated over 50 years to teaching traditional Japanese Karate across Asia and Australia. Our dojo carries this legacy forward — with discipline, respect, and unwavering commitment to the true spirit of karate-do.

What You’ll Experience in the Introductory Course:

• Foundations of Traditional Karate: Learn foundational stances, strikes, and blocks rooted in Japanese martial heritage.
• Practical Self-Defense: Develop practical skills with an emphasis on awareness and control.
• Karate Kata: Explore formal patterns that preserve the techniques and philosophy of Japanese karate-do. 
• Physical Conditioning: Boost your strength, mobility, and coordination.
• Sharpened Focus & Discipline: Cultivate a calm mind, build discipline, confidence, and mental clarity.
• Refined Technique and Control: Develop speed, power, timing, accuracy, and correct breathing.

Your First Lesson is Complimentary

Experience your initial class at no cost. Should you wish to continue, enroll for a 4-week course at just $49. Afterward, you have the option to become a full member.
